MIN. TREVOR POPE: Salvation

Salvation - June 13, 2006

What Is Salvation?

Salvation is one of the promises of God to all believers: to be given the gift of eternal life.

To be "saved" in the full sense of the word means to have received eternal life. The word salvation is also used to describe the process we go through before we can receive eternal life. Here are two of many verses about eternal life:

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotton Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
(John 3:16 KJV)

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord"
(Romans 6:23)

Who is Jesus Christ?

Jesus said, "I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." (John 10:10 KJV). Jesus also says, " I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through Me." (John 14:6 KJV). In John 5:11-13, were told that if we have the Son in our life we can know that we have eternal life. Jesus is the only way for us to live an abundant life here on earth, or receive eternal life in fellowship with God.If we do not receive the free gift of eternal life by experiencing the forgiveness achieved by Jesus, then we will receive the punishement we so rightly deserve. Jesus must be behind the wheel of your life. You can change your life this very moment. Jesus said, "And this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day." (John 6:40 NASB) Admit your sin repent of it before God. Believe in the The Atonement (Reconciliation of God and humans brought about by the redemptive life and death of Jesus Christ) and receive the gift of eternal life that Jesus died to freely give everyone. Invite Jesus in your life through you and Thank Him for doing so.

HOW CAN I BE SAVED?

For the Bible says in Romans 10: 9-11, that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him form the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scriptures says, "Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame."

So you see, all you have to do is confess with you mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. If you are ready to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, all you have to do is say this prayer and Jesus will hear you and come into your heart today.

REPEAT THIS PRAYER:Dear God in heaven I come to you in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; I need your forgiveness, I believe that your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my sin. You said in Your Holy Word, Romans 10:9 that if we confess the Lord our God and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, we shall be saved. Right now I confess Jesus as the Lord of my soul. With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and according to His Word, right now I am saved Thank You Jesus for your unlimited grace which has saved me from my sins. I thank You Jesus that your grace leads to repentance. Therefore Lord Jesus transform my life so that I may bring glory and honor to you alone and not myself. Thank You Jesus for dying for me and giving me eternal life.

You did it!! You have made the most important decision of your life. We ask if you don't mind to email us at aboutministry@trevorpope.com and testify of your new found life in Christ Jesus.
